Lila Lazarus asked Michigan Hot Air Balloon pilot Scott Lorenz of Plymouth
if he would help fulfill a cancer patient's dream. That dream was to fly in a hot air balloon.
Lorenz said "Yes" and the dream came true. Check out the flight with Lila, Anna and Scott as
they skim the treetops of Kensington Park in Milford, Michigan followed in close support
by Gordon Boring of the Wicker Basket Balloon Center in Wixom and the FOX-2 helicopter. According
to Lorenz, "This was one of the most memorable flights."
Michigan hot air balloonist Scott Lorenz owns and operates Westwind Balloon Company
over the rivers, streams and forests of Oakland County, Michigan. Since 1981 Lorenz has been flying
passengers over Kensington Metro Park, Milford, Brighton, South Lyon and Island State Park. Its a birds-eye
view you can only experience in a hot air balloon. Hot air balloon rides in Michigan
are available from May thru October. Balloon rides make memorable gifts and are bucket list items for many.
